About the material (Annealed Steel): This material has been treated by the manufacturer through a process called annealing meaning it has been heated up to a high temperature, creating an oxide layer, resulting in the black color. The oxide layer WILL rub off onto the skin. It will not stain the skin permanently, but will require soap and water to remove. It could be a good look if you are into a grungy, distressed look. Please be aware of any allergies or skin sensitivities when purchasing.
Care Instructions: To avoid rusting on the black annealed steel and polished annealed steel choker, apply with your favorite oil every 2-3 months if you are not wearing it often. (The natural oils of your skin may be enough to ward off rust.) I recommend mineral oil. Apply with a brush or rag, allow to dry overnight. then remove the access. You can also use a wax of your choice. This does not apply to any other color.
